Associate Account Director
Full job description for the Associate Account Director position at Real Chemistry.
What you’ll do- New business acquisition
- Participate in new business opportunities as support to the Account Director.
- Write and populate proposals/SOWs in response to client inquiries with minimal direction.
- Client services
- Serve as day‑to‑day client contact.
- Build and maintain client relationships and debrief with Senior / Associate Account Directors regularly.
- Moderate meetings, calls and email communications with client stakeholders to ensure a client‑centered approach.
- Oversee all note‑taking during meetings and provide prompt recaps, coaching junior staff as needed.
- Coordinate resources for client scopes by developing and owning strategic operational plans (creative briefs, project plans, status spreadsheets, hot sheets, meeting recaps), balancing expectations with successful work output.
- Follow each client’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in agency milestone deliveries, review periods, MLR submissions, etc.
- Work closely with the PM to ensure smooth production of all scopes of work, review timelines, and collaborate to meet submission deadlines.
- Financials
- Drive the creation of billable job codes.
- Provide monthly accruals at revenue‑recognition meetings for the scopes/accounts they oversee.
- Work with the PM to understand project burn versus original budget and communicate updates.
- Professional development & team mentorship
- Mentor and supervise junior staff.
- Work with supervision to determine a professional growth plan.
- Collaboration & teamwork
- Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to succeed.
- Ensure procedures are followed by team members.
- Provide feedback to supervisors, leadership, and teammates with a solution‑oriented focus.
- Adaptable, resilient, proactive, and driven with strong prioritization skills.
- Highly organized self‑starter able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Creative, flexible, and self‑motivated mindset.
- Experience interacting with brands and agencies.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Heavy science/health background or degree preferred.
$95,000 - $115,000. Compensation determined based on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors including experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
