ryWe are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager (PM) to join our Project Management team. The Project Manager will report to the Vice President of Production and is responsible for the management and execution of commercial ship repair projects ranging from $1M to $20M in valu

e.
The PM serves as the primary point of contact for customers and is responsible for the overall financial, contractual, and operational performance of assigned projects. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and business acumen to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer and contractual require men

ts.

The PM must establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, owners, estimators, engineers, subcontractors, supervisors, and production personnel. Experience with contract administration, project controls, forecasting, scheduling, change management, and customer relationship management is essential. Experience in commercial ship repair, shipbuilding, industrial construction, marine services, or related industries is highly desir

    Lead project planning efforts, including scheduling, resource allocation, forecasting, and execution strat

    Monitor and manage project financial performance, including budgets, labor utilization, cost control, revenue realization, and profitab
  • ility.

    Develop, negotiate, and administer contract modifications, change orders, and growth work opportun
  • ities.

    Coordinate activities between production, engineering, planning, procurement, quality, subcontractors, and customer representa
  • tives.

    Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project out
  • comes.

    Lead project meetings with customers, management, and internal stakeholders to communicate project status, priorities, and perfor
  • mance.

    Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and contractual requir
  • ements

    Support proposal development, estimating efforts, and customer relationship management activities as req
  • uired.

    The Commercial PM may be assigned other duties as required, including non-commercial pro


jects.
Education/Training/

  • Skills:

    Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field or equivalent work exp
  • erience

    Minimum requirement of 10 years of ship repair or marine industry exp
  • erience

    Minimum requirement of 5 years of project management exp
  • sirable

    Knowledge of managing federal co
  • ntracts

    Knowledge of shipboard lock-out tag-out pro
  • cedures

    Previous experience or training in work sequencing and sch
  • skills

    Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project or similar scheduling s
