Position: SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST.

Duties

  • You will serve as the functional expert and Programs Manager on all aspects involving supply quality assurance (SQA), Financial Improvement and Aunt Readiness (FIAR) compliance for the Shipyard supply chain.
  • You will oversee the management of the CASA Division's efforts to provide administrative support services, such as staffing, budget, training, metrics and assessments.
  • You will , through subordinate branches, oversee the development and execution of annual budgets to support Shipyard supply program requirements.
  • You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for Supply compliance and system work.
  • You will establish performance standards and evaluate performance of employees an also identify developmental and training needs of supervisors and employees.
  • You will carry out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicate support of these policies to subordinates.
  • You will manage the supply quality assurance process and ensure the execution of all department internal audits.
  • You will oversee coordination of Other Production Work (OPW) with applicable Shipyard codes to prioritize work based on material availability.
  • You will oversee support of the Material Access Technology (MAT) system, including trouble shooting and roll-out of system-wide updates.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of supply management program operations to make recommendations, develop and implement new procedures and practices and to improve processes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
