Regional Janitorial Area Manager
The Facilities Group Hawaii (TFG HI) is a combination of two local companies that has provided facilities maintenance services to leading businesses in Hawaii for over 50 years. We provide comprehensive commercial building maintenance and cleaning services, including daily janitorial, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitizing, and building maintenance and repairs.
The Regional Janitorial Area Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and workforce performance of assigned client accounts throughout Hawai'i and Guam. This role oversees a blended workforce consisting of both Independent Service Providers (ISPs) and W2 employees, ensuring consistent service delivery, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, and customer satisfaction across multiple client locations.
The Regional Janitorial Area Manager serves as the primary operational leader within the region, responsible for sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and developing ISP vendor partners, while also leading and supporting W2 account personnel. This individual will drive operational excellence through quality assurance, workforce management, client relationship management, KPI oversight, and financial accountability.
Success in this role requires a highly organized and self-directed leader who can effectively manage geographically dispersed operations, build strong customer relationships, and maintain a high-performing service network throughout the region.

Workforce Management & Vendor Development
- Source, recruit, evaluate, negotiate, onboard, and develop Independent Service Provider (ISP) partners throughout the assigned region.
- Maintain a strong vendor pipeline to support organic growth, new account startups, and workforce continuity.
- Conduct ISP due diligence, including credential verification, insurance compliance, service capability assessments, and onboarding requirements.
- Lead and support a blended workforce model consisting of both ISP vendors and W2 employees.
- Recruit, coach, train, and develop regional personnel to ensure service excellence and employee engagement.
- Ensure all workforce members understand customer requirements, company standards, safety expectations, and contractual obligations.
- Address performance concerns through coaching, corrective action, retraining, and performance management initiatives as necessary.
Client & Account Management
- Serve as the primary operational contact for client accounts within the assigned region.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and business reviews.
- Ensure contractual obligations, service level agreements, and customer expectations are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns, service issues, and escalations while driving timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, service enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
Operations & Quality Assurance
- Conduct routine quality control inspections and audits across multiple client locations.
- Monitor service execution and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Manage service schedules, labor deployment, and resource allocation across the region.
- Oversee special projects, periodic cleaning programs, and emergency response activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory, equipment utilization, and supply controls while maintaining cost efficiency.
Financial & Business Performance
- Maintain accountability for regional account performance, profitability, labor costs, and operational expenses.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor labor models, vendor costs, supply expenses, and operational expenditures to achieve profitability targets.
- Review performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and operational reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Provide routine reporting and updates to senior leadership regarding account performance, workforce needs, risks, and business opportunities.
Technology & Reporting
- Utilize company software, mobile applications, CRM systems, and workforce management platforms to manage daily operations.
- Maintain accurate digital documentation of inspections, customer communications, employee records, vendor files, and issue resolution.
- Analyze operational and performance data to drive informed business decisions.
- Adapt quickly to new technology platforms and operational tools.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel throughout Hawai'i and Guam to conduct inspections, customer meetings, onboarding activities, and workforce support.
- Support new business launches, transitions, and special operational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
