Job Title

Project Engineering And Planning Manager (PEPM)

Duties

You will be responsible for providing quality, timely planning support within budget, meet availability schedules, recommend and effect changes in resources.

You will ensure delivery of requisite products meet critical schedule events.

You will maintain accurate planning product status through the various planning stages to ensure cost and schedule performance through multiple Zone Managers.

You will serve on assigned Project Management Teams as the Project Engineering and Planning Manager (PEPM).

You will identify, coordinate, develop and implement all waterfront planning issues and solutions.

You will make decisions to ensure product planning, estimates, work specifications and material procurement documents are issued in support of project schedules and goals.

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical engineering direction for the repair, modification or overhaul of ships or submarines. Examples of qualifying experience include: providing quality, timely planning support within budget for the repair and overhaul of naval ships or submarines;

meeting availability schedules of varying sizes in support of repair and overhaul projects of naval ships or submarines; investigating, evaluating, advising on, and resolving unusual problems, issues, and conditions relating to the repair and overhaul of naval ships or submarines.
