Job Description

Our Program Operations Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating day-to-day program operations in support of successful contract execution.

This role provides operational oversight across personnel, logistics, travel, resources, scheduling, and administrative requirements, ensuring program leadership has the visibility and information needed to make timely decisions. This is a full time, salaried, exempt position. Salary range is $90,000-$110,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day program operations in direct support of the PM.
  • Maintain operational awareness across staffing, scheduling, travel, logistics, resources, and other program requirements and provide timely updates to the PM and Deputy PM.
  • Anticipate operational needs, identify potential risks or conflicts, assess impacts to program execution, and develop recommended courses of action for program leadership.
  • Independently address and resolve operational and logistical issues within established authority, escalating matters requiring PM or Deputy PM direction, approval, or customer engagement.
  • Lead planning and coordination of fly-away team operations, ensuring personnel, travel, equipment, transportation, lodging, access, and other mission requirements are identified and addressed prior to deployment.
  • Oversee and coordinate complex personnel travel and deployment requirements, including schedules, lodging, transportation, equipment movement, and changes resulting from evolving mission requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing and personnel requirements with program leadership and internal departments to identify upcoming needs, potential gaps, scheduling conflicts, and other issues affecting program execution.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, operational trackers, action items, status reports, and other management tools necessary to provide leadership with accurate visibility of program activities and requirements.
  • Prepare program status information, briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for the PM.
  • Support implementation of program processes and procedures that improve operational effectiveness, accountability, communication, and consistency across the program.
  • Monitor changing program and mission requirements and coordinate necessary adjustments to personnel, resources, schedules, travel, and logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in program operations, logistics, project management, program coordination, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple operational priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating fly-away teams, deployments, or geographically dispersed personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate operational needs, identify risks, assess potential impacts, and develop recommended solutions.
  • Familiarity with government travel, security, access, and deployment requirements.

Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and scheduling skills with the ability to manage competing requirements and rapidly changing priorities. Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve issues within established authority and recognize when leadership involvement is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain program schedules, status reports, operational trackers, briefing materials, and other management tools.

This position requires the ability to maintain the required U.S. government security clearance throughout employment.
