AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support Emergency Assessment and Repair services for a federal client on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. In this critical leadership role, the Project Manager will oversee the rapid assessment, planning, coordination, and execution of facility and infrastructure repairs following natural disasters, severe weather events, and other emergency situations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface with the client, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal requirements.
This position requires strong program management, construction management, and stakeholder engagement experience related to federal clients.
This role will require an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead emergency assessment and repair projects involving facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and mission-critical assets.
- Manage all phases of multiple projects from initial damage assessment and scope development through design, construction, closeout, and reporting.
- Coordinate rapid response activities following natural disasters and emergency events to support mission continuity and facility restoration.
- Review technical documents, repair plans, cost estimates, schedules, and construction submittals for quality and compliance with contract requirements.
- Monitor project performance related to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between client representatives, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee construction management activities, including field inspections, progress tracking, schedule reviews, and risk management.
- Manage and coordinate AECOM staff, subcontractors, and specialty consultants supporting emergency response and recovery efforts.
- Assist with project budgeting, invoicing, forecasting, construction accounting, and contract administration activities.
- Prepare and deliver project briefings, status reports, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation, records management, and reporting requirements are maintained in accordance with federal and client standards.
- Support strategic planning efforts related to facility resilience, emergency preparedness, and long-term infrastructure recovery initiatives.
