Director of Plant Operations

The Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for organizing and communicating the production schedule to various teams ensuring efficient production, delivery and inventory management. Plant employs only about 10 - 15 people in production. This position involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing resources, and continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and profitability. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees.

• Oversee all plant operations such as processing, value add, freezer and cold storage, logistics, production schedule, budget and works closely with purchasing, sales, customer service,
• Food and workplace safety and compliance
• Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
• Develop and ensure adherence to SOP's rules and workplace policies
• Monitor and minimize waste
• Examine, processes, and design plan (SOP's) to effectively use available resources to prevent burnout and turnover
• HR related actions

• Demonstrated knowledge and success with lean manufacturing principles, Food Safety, GMP Compliance, HAACP, GFSI, SQF.
• 6+ years of direct supervisory experience
• Experience in managing people and lean manufacturing operations in a small plant setting
• Strong communication, management, organization, and supervisory skills
