Auto Body & Paint Technician (W/ Mechanical Experience) - $35/HR + Full Family Medical
Auto Body & Paint Technician – $35/hr
HIWASTE mfg. & HI-LUX CUSTOMS | Honolulu, HI
HTM Group HI-LUX CUSTOMS Division specialize in flipping and restoring classic cars, luxury vehicles, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment. We perform full restorations, custom builds, and mechanical upgrades all under one roof.
Pay &
Schedule:
- Monday
- Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM - Weekly Pay
- Medical and Dental Insurance – 100% Company Paid (Employee + Full Family) Begins after 4 weeks averaging 20+ hours/week
- Holiday Pay – 10 Holidays Per year
- PTO – 160 Hours per year
- Birthday Pay (after 1 year)

The Work:
- Perform dent repair, rust repair, panel replacement, and body modifications
- Prep vehicles for paint (sanding, masking, priming, block work) and apply basecoat/clearcoat/custom finishes
- Blend paint and perform touch-ups when needed and repair fiberglass and minor fabrication for fitment adjustments
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety compliance
- Mechanical support (secondary role)
- Assist with light mechanical work such as:
- Assisting with suspension disassembly
- Supporting engine or drivetrain removal when needed
- Reassemble vehicles after paint
- Perform light mechanical repairs as assigned
- Shop support:
- Maintain organized work area
- Follow project timelines
- Coordinate with Senior Restoration Supervisor and mechanics
- Assist in final vehicle inspection and detailing prep
Requirements
:
- Proven experience in auto body work and painting
- Strong skills in bodywork, sanding, masking, and finishing techniques
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
