Responsibilities
Serves as working laundry machine operator leader, setting the work pace for 12-15 laundry machine operators and laundry workers. Highest level of worker lead is NA-7305-05 Laundry Machine Operator. As needed demonstrates proper work techniques to new employees or current employees requiring additional training. Checks work in progress to ensure safety and housekeeping rules are followed. Operates 4-8 commercial washing machines for a variety of purposes, e.g. to laundry, dye, starch or treat articles with water repellent and fire retardant.
Knows the formulas used for various soiled laundry. Insures washers are loaded according to capacity of machine. Processes different types of laundry involving differences in water temperatures, cycle numbers, timing, and additives. Unloads washers into proper transport for movement to other departments. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation

- Minimum of six months experience as a laundry worker or laundry machine operator in a large high-volume laundry operation
