Team Lead – Food Processing Facility, Lowville, NY. The role focuses on safe, quality‑oriented production duties and continuous improvement within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

- $28.21–$33.30 per hour
- A $1.00 shift differential for second shift and $1.25 shift differential for third shift
Work Schedule:
7 days per week production.
- Own results for clean inspect and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data, and the Oscar scrap elimination system.
- Lead daily Level 1 and attend Level 2 meetings, contribute to annual planning and weekly PDCA reviews.
- Assist in development of centerline definition and associated standard development.
- Develop control strategies, coach teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, and Oscar systems execution.
- Lead root‑cause problem‑solving on key process losses and train staff in problem‑solving skills.
- Facilitate line loss analysis and throughput improvement plans (OEE current/future state).
- Analyze daily and shift line data to prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
- Participate in internal audit program, food safety committee, and sanitary design team.
- Collect information on stops, centerlines, and changeovers from the past 24 hours.
- Investigate initial root cause of top stops.
- Develop daily plans for ownership areas.
- Lead Level 1 meetings, discuss stops and root causes, establish countermeasures.
- Ensure centerline completion and compliance, create countermeasures for outages.
- Work with Process Owner, CI Lead, and Maintenance Lead to address losses.
- Lead centerline and Quality Daily Management Systems.
- Perform duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all GMP, Housekeeping guidelines, QRMP operating procedures.
- Assist in QRMP implementation and serve as trainer.
Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Metrics, and ZPI.
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of documentation importance; ability to write SOPs, OPLs, and CILs.
- Project conceptualization, generation, implementation, and completion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork across diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures (LOTO, confined space entry).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience/GED required.
- Knowledge of processing and packaging.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Excellent digital literacy.
- Ability to supervise and report on the workflow of others.
- Attention to detail in daily tasks.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Participation in company committees.
- Demonstrate leadership in plant safety programs.
- Incorporate safety considerations into daily activities.
- Obtain required training and perform tasks for safety and environmental programs (LOTO, machine guarding, etc.).
- Ensure quality of products and workplace by following all procedures and guidelines.
- Follow GMPs, HACCP guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities, and ISO operating procedures.
- Participate in team goal setting and implementation to achieve low cost, high quality production.
- Strive to improve plant/department efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work in all environments of the plant.
- Overtime, weekend, and holiday work required.
Must have demonstrated leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The facilitator must be self‑motivated and able to work with a team environment.
