SCHEDULE DETAILS:

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with an expectation of two (2) days per week in the office and three (3) days per week working remotely.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs, special events, community activities, or communications support requirements.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Provide support for internal communications including coordinating with Hawaii leadership team including sales, marketing and resort operations to understand their communication needs, supporting intranet and electronic bulletin board programs, drafting internal announcements.
  • Writes and edits a wide range of communications materials, including but not limited to email announcements, intranet articles, electronic bulletin board slides, press releases and media pitches.
  • Other communications and event support for teams in Hawaii as needed including, but not limited to company events, corporate social responsibility tracking and events, support for development, sales, marketing, resort operations and HR teams.
  • Develop reports for metrics, data, and related insights to help drive internal and external communications activities and programs to determine effectiveness of channels and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborates across functions to proactively identify communication opportunities to support business goals.
What are we looking for....To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in both agency and corporate communications environments.
  • Knowledge of AP Style.
  • Hospitality industry experience.
  • Japanese language proficiency.
