Coordinator, Corporate Communications (Full Time, 40, Day)

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:- Under direction of manager, plans, coordinates, and implements projects, programs and events related to community relations and corporate communications.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the media and public.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements communication strategies and procedures as directed.
- Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.
- Frequent: sitting.
- Occasional: walking, standing, stooping/bending, reaching at and below shoulder level.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to media calls as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, public relations, communications, marketing or related field; or four (4) years progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, health care or related field may be substituted for the educational requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
- In addition to the educational requirement, minimum two (2) years of experience in public relations, preferably in the health care industry.
- Prior experience dealing with the news media required.
