Join the team behind one of Honolulu's favorite brands!
Chubbies Burgers was established in 2016 and has been voted "Best of Honolulu" by Honolulu Magazine four years in a row. We are now looking for a driven Assistant Manager to support our Store Manager and help keep our operation running at its best.
Compensation$18-22/hour, based on experience
SchedulePart-time — hours/week TBD
PurposeWe create enjoyable, consistent, quality experiences. As Marketing Intern, you'll take our brand guidelines and run with them the brand's individual voice to life across content, social, and internal execution, while helping drive the business toward its quarterly goals.
This role is ideal for someone who loves creating content as much as they love organizing it — equally comfortable behind the camera, in a content calendar, and coordinating across departments to get things shipped.
Role Summary- Execute our brand guidelines and communicate each brand's individual voice across all marketing efforts
- Lead ideation and content creation for Chubbies Burgers
- Own internal execution of marketing initiatives among departments
- Help plan and strategize business goals and quarterly marketing projects to increase sales and engagement
- Run a weekly marketing standup, including a rolling 2–4 week content schedule and a weekly scorecard
- Manage packaging and merch ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Content Planning & Rhythm: Run a weekly standup meeting; maintain a content schedule 2–4 weeks ahead (reviewed like a staff schedule); report a weekly scorecard
- Content Production: Rotate one food shoot and one staff shoot weekly (effectively one content shoot per week); lead a high-production quarterly shoot (DSLR, etc.), which can be outsourced
- Social Media: Post 2–3x/week to Instagram (10–12/month) — including at least one reel and at least one people-focused post (staff or customer) each month; post 2–3x/week to Stories (10–12/month)
- Email Marketing
:
Send a bi-weekly email, rotating between locations - User Generated Content (UGC) & Community Content: Manage a $200/month UGC/outsourcing budget shared across both locations (gift cards only); coordinate one UGC collaboration per month
- Packaging & Merch Management
:
Own all ordering, inventory, and vendor management for packaging and merch - Cross-Functional Support: Provide graphic design assistance, manage the website, and support copywriting, media, and PR needs
- Collaboration & Ideation
:
Lead or participate in a monthly brainstorming meeting/committee to generate content and campaign ideas
- Embody and champion the company's Core Values in every decision and interaction
- Comfortable owning a brand's voice and translating guidelines into real, on-the-ground content
- Strong communicator who can coordinate across departments to keep marketing initiatives on track
- Organized and self-directed — able to run a content calendar and scorecard like a real operating rhythm, not just a to-do list
- Creative and camera-comfortable — as ready to shoot content as to plan it
- Comfort with social content creation (photo/video) and basic editing
- Familiarity with Instagram, Stories, and email marketing platforms a plus
- Strong organizational skills — able to manage a recurring content schedule, inventory, and vendor relationships simultaneously
- Reliable transportation for shoots
