DESCRIPTION

The Hawaii Parkinson Association (HPA) is a non‑profit volunteer group comprised of people with Parkinson's disease, caregivers, family members, health care professionals, educators, and leaders in the business community. HPA was first established in 1996. Our mission is simply to help our Hawaii community live well with Parkinson’s Disease. We achieve this through many means including our resource center, education, exercise programs, support groups, outreach programs, and more.

The Executive Director (ED) reports to the Executive Committee of the HPA Board of Directors (BOD) and will serve as the face of the organization. This role involves collaboration with the BOD and its volunteer organization. The goal of the ED is to progress the mission of the HPA by achieving targeted revenue, education, and outreach metrics. Revenue metrics include fundraising events, corporate development, individual giving, and ambassador/board development.

Education and outreach metrics include volunteer development, community partner engagement, and new outreach opportunities.

The ED is responsible, in collaboration with the BOD, for the management and oversight of the existing HPA budget. The ED will be directly responsible for the long‑term strategy for incremental and sustained revenue growth above qualifying targets. This individual will cultivate partnerships and alliances to promote growth and awareness within the community and volunteer team for success in both outreach and revenue.
