Hawaiʻi Found Her is a women's business accelerator serving wāhine-owned small businesses across the pae ʻāina. Through direct funding, ʻohana care stipends, one-on-one mentorship, and culturally grounded business workshops, Found Her builds economic sovereignty and lasting community impact.

Since 2021, Found Her has served founders across 35 companies, 67.6% Native Hawaiian, spanning every major island. Founders achieve a median 41% revenue growth in their first year post-program.

In 2026, Found Her became an independent 501(c)(3). This is a founding moment, the incoming Executive Director will be the first leader of Found Her as its own organization, built to serve wāhine founders for generations.

Role Description

At-will, full-time. Starting at $120,000+ depending on experience. Full medical, dental, and 401(k). Reports to the Board of Directors.

The Executive Director leads Found Her's overall operations, fundraising, and sustainability. Most of the role is fundraising and community partnership building, with hands‑on responsibility for programs, staff, and systems in a small, lean team.

Core responsibilities
  • Design and execute a fundraising strategy across grants, individual donors, and corporate partners, maintaining a six‑month operating runway
  • Build and steward relationships with funders, mentors, and community partners; serve as Found Her's primary external voice
  • Lead program strategy, cohort selection, and curriculum to keep the experience culturally responsive and effective
  • Manage budgets, funder reporting, staff, and the systems that keep the organization running
Qualifications Required
  • Proven fundraising track record across at least two of: foundation grants, government grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships. Grant writing required.
  • Founded and operated a business, or led a nonprofit including staff, budget, and board management
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility within the Native Hawaiian community, through relationships, lived experience, and cultural fluency
  • Strong communication skills across funders, policymakers, founders, and community
  • Living in Hawaiʻi IS required but not necessarily Honolulu.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with Hawaiʻi's funding landscape
  • Experience standing up or growing a nonprofit, or launching a new program
  • Found Her is a culturally grounded organization. We're looking for someone who embodies this mission, not just understands it, and leads with humility. If you're from outside the Native Hawaiian community, we expect a track record of building trust and accountability within indigenous communities.
