Major Gifts Officer Hawaii Foodbank | Honolulu, HI (Hybrid) | Full-Time
Bishop & Company is representing Hawaii Foodbank in their pursuit of a Major Gifts Officer. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to build meaningful relationships with donors and help secure the philanthropic support that advances Hawaii Foodbank's mission to nourish our 'ohana today while working to end hunger tomorrow. The Major Gifts Officer serves as a frontline fundraiser responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospects capable of making gifts of $10,000 or more.
The successful candidate will build long-term philanthropic partnerships, manage a portfolio of approximately 100-115 donors and prospects, and play a key role in helping Hawaii Foodbank achieve its fundraising goals.
- Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects through all stages of the donor lifecycle
- Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
- Conduct donor meetings, site visits, tours, virtual meetings, and outreach activities
- Solicit and secure major gifts in support of Hawaii Foodbank's mission and strategic priorities
- Identify and qualify new major gift prospects through research, referrals, and relationship building
- Maintain accurate donor records and portfolio activity within Raiser's Edge NXT
- Coordinate meaningful donor stewardship and engagement opportunities
- Represent Hawaii Foodbank at donor, community, and fundraising events
- Collaborate with development, donor engagement, and leadership teams to achieve fundraising goals
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-7 years of fundraising, nonprofit development, sales, business development, or relationship management experience
- Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and securing significant gifts or comparable financial commitments
- Experience managing donor, client, customer, or prospect portfolios with measurable goals
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT or a comparable CRM platform preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a mission-driven team
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed

Schedule:
Full-time, exempt position. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
Compensation is determined individually based on the experience, qualifications, and expertise each candidate brings to the role.
Major Gifts Officer:
Est. $100,000 annually
