Hours:

36 per week (36 hours per week). Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and includes a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined). Total Med Travel Job .

• Maintain a comfortable, safe and clean environment for both mother and infant.
• Provide basic newborn care and assess for critical signs and symptoms of mother and newborn.
• Assist mother with any hygienic needs; check for post‑partum bleeding.
• Inspect C‑section incision when applicable.
• Monitor emotional status of mother and provide appropriate support.
• Provide mother with education on infant care, including feeding, bathing and diaper changing.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 lb, with occasional lifting of patients up to 50 lb.
• Be prepared for hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

1–2 years recent acute care experience; post‑partum or mother‑baby RN experience preferred. Required certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NRP, 2 years experience
