Seeking an experienced Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized hemodialysis care in a high-acuity hospital setting. The RN will manage patients requiring acute hemodialysis treatment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
This role requires prior acute dialysis staff experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, large medical center environment.
Education & Licensure Requirements- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required at time of application
- Current BLS (HCP) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Specialty certifications highly desired (CNN, CDN)
- Must pass EKG exam with a score of 80% or higher during orientation
- All licenses and certifications must remain valid from submission through the duration of the contract
- Minimum two (2) years full-time Acute Hemodialysis staff RN experience prior to any travel assignments (required)
- Minimum one (1) year full-time Telemetry or ICU staff RN experience prior to Acute HD (preferred)
- Experience in large, high-acuity medical centers (500+ beds) strongly preferred
- Provide acute hemodialysis treatments for hospitalized patients
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to acute changes in condition
- Administer medications and dialysis-related therapies safely
- Collaborate with nephrology and interdisciplinary teams
- Accurately document care in EPIC EMR
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
- Rotating Day/Eve shifts
- Holiday coverage required
- All compliance documentation must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start
- Incomplete compliance may delay start and shorten assignment duration
- Current NURSYS report required at submission
- Hawaii residents may be considered under local employment terms
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must meet all onboarding and health clearance requirements prior to start
