Max Med Healthcare, in partnership with Readi Force Government Solutions LLC, is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii. The Nurse Practitioner will provide independent and collaborative comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, integrating the art and science of nursing into medical practice. This labor category is designated mission essential and is a privileged position.

- Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF (screening, medical care/examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems; immunizations; diagnosis, treatment, and counseling).
- Technically direct and teach other staff; provide evidence-based educational lectures and in-service training.
- Diagnose and treat common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, and Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self‑care through education and counseling.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group to inform the healthcare team and benefit the patient/family and organization; recognize conditions requiring isolation and ensure universal precautions.
- Provide medical management functions including assessment of acute, non‑acute, and chronic diagnoses; new patient intake/screening; history and physical examination; laboratory and diagnostic study interpretation; ordering medications/treatments; and initiating therapeutic plans.
- Manage treatment plans and education for chronic conditions (e.g., coronary artery disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, obesity, hyperlipidemia, chronic kidney disease).
- Provide educational and preventive counseling to patients and families; oversee preventive healthcare compliance; refer high‑risk/unstable/complex patients to physicians and emergency medicine; perform emergency care as appropriate.

Education:
Master's degree in Nursing. (Equivalency determination may NOT be requested.) - Certification:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), AND certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty required by the TO by the ANCC, AANP, or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice. - Experience:
One (1) or more full years of professional nursing experience including ordering appropriate medication and treatments, providing staff education, and initiating a therapeutic plan in accordance with medical practice. - Board Certification:
None required. - Licensure/Registration:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse. - Legal Authorization to Work:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must meet all DHA health requirements: immunizations, annual seasonal influenza vaccination, TB screening (TST/IGRA within 3 months of reporting to TAMC), and a physical examination confirming fitness for duty.
- Must pass security investigative requirements, including fingerprinting and completion of an SF‑86 (or equivalent OPM investigative product);
Child Background Check if working with children. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen).
- Time worked is recorded in the Defense Medical Human Resources System–internet (DMHRSi).
- This is a privileged position requiring a complete credentialing package; clinical competency within the past two years must be demonstrated. Estimated qualifying/credentialing timeline is 30–45 days.
