• Provide direct patient care in PACU Phase I/II, monitoring airway, breathing, circulation, and recovery status after anesthesia
• Assess and manage pain, nausea, hemodynamics, and telemetry as indicated; respond to physiologic changes promptly
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure timely recovery and appropriate disposition
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the patient record; adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Prepare patients for discharge to PACU Phase II or transfer to appropriate inpatient units; educate patients and families as appropriate
• Uphold unit safety standards; be prepared to assist with nursing assistant or safety sitter duties if needed

• Licensure:
  Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license
• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Certifications:
  
  Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, and PALS required
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) or more years of full‑time PACU Phase I/II RN experience in a large medical center (500+ beds); telemetry experience required; ICU experience highly preferred
• Certifications/Specialties: CPI (or equivalent) and NIHSS preferred; specialty certifications (CCRN, CPAN, PCCN) highly desired
• Compliance:
  All licenses and certifications must be valid at application submission and throughout the initial contract; compliance due no later than 10 days prior to start
• Additional:
  If RN is not needed on the PACU unit, may be assigned to nursing assistant or safety sitter duties
