What You’ll Do

Nurtures residents, clients, and/or members, ensuring the delivery of top‑notch care under supervision of designated departmental leadership and/or other medical professionals as appropriate.

Location - 15 Craigside (Assisted Living Clinic)

The Following Shifts Are Available
  • Full-Time (Work 35 to 40 hours per week) 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, Days Varies
Pay Range
  • $17.42 to $20.75 Hourly
Responsibilities
  • Answers call lights to determine residents’ needs.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as:
    • Bathing
    • Eating; which includes set‑up, serving and collecting food plates and utensils
    • Feeding residents who require assistance;
    • Dressing;
    • Oral hygiene;
    • Grooming as needed.
  • Provides assistance with toileting and provides appropriate peri‑care for incontinent residents.
  • Assists residents to turn, reposition, and transfer, which may be performed by the NA without assistance, with a two‑person assistance, or by using a lift machine in accordance with the service plan.
  • Transports residents with ambulation to and from their room to appropriate areas for activities and meals.
  • Takes and records:
    • ADLs and chargeable time/units
    • Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates)
    • Intake and output of food and fluid
    • Transfers (one or two person) and ambulation status
    • Mood/behaviors when resistant to care
    • Pain level assessment (if applicable)
  • Provides companion services according to service plan.
  • Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
  • Monitors and supervises residents as assigned.
  • Adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Interacts with residents in accordance with AFCs’ mission, core values, mindsets and guideposts.
  • Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations, and report and/or correct hazards, potential or actual.
  • Ensures that all residents’ rights and privacy are protected and enforced, and establishes and maintains a close liaison with families.
  • Attends mandatory in­service programs.
  • Complies with annual employee health screening in accordance with policies and procedures.
