Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER) Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) nursing for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency care experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including consecutive weekends as needed.
ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
Provide rapid assessment and treatment of patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
12-hour rotating shifts
Weekend coverage required, including consecutive weekends as needed
Holiday coverage required
Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to contract start
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
Recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Preferred/Accepted
Certifications:
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
