Job Summary

As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing immediate and specialized nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting. This includes assessing patients, administering medication, performing medical procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Triage patients and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition.

Monitor and assess patient vital signs and symptoms.

Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and intubation.

Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.

Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Valid RN license in the state of practice.

BLS and ACLS certification.

2+ years of experience in emergency room nursing preferred.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

Proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
