The State of Hawaii is offering a nursing position with a starting monthly salary ranging from $9,178.00 to $11,677.00. This opportunity is available statewide and the recruitment is ongoing.
Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some positions may be covered under the Department of Justice Consent Decree.
Duties SummaryThis is a staff/journey level nursing position assigned to one clinical service area or rotation among various nursing areas of the institution or hospital. Responsibilities include developing and implementing nursing care plans, providing nursing care and treatment services, assigning and directing the work of nursing assistants, and serving as charge nurses.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsTo qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement
- Hawaii Registered Nurse License
- Six (6) months of professional nursing work experience as a registered nurse
- Current CPR certification
- Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement
- Other Requirements
