Licensed Practical Nurse - Oncology

Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology.

Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

The board-certified physicians in the Oncology department evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders. At Straub's newly renovated Outpatient Treatment Center, patients receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapies. Straub's Certified Oncology Nurses are trained to provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center team includes board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality of life professional.

In addition to treatment and therapy, the Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families cope with illness.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in our Oncology department, you will help to provide our signature compassionate, high quality care to patients and their families. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in providing care to patients of all ages. We are looking for someone with warm, sensitive patient care and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Location: Straub Benioff Medical Center - King Street Clinic

Work Schedule: Day - 8 Hours

Pay Range: 32.82 - 34.55 USD per hour

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Licensed Practical Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year recent Licensed Practical Nurse experience. Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 Coding. Experience with online medical software systems.
