06/22/2026 - Work setting: inpatient oncology on a hospital unit
- Compliance timelines: all required documentation due at least 10 days before start
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to oncology inpatients, including administration of chemotherapy and supportive therapies per protocol
- Monitor patient status continuously, manage infusion therapy, assess labs and vital signs, and respond to adverse events or infusion reactions
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the broader care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; ensure correct medication administration and reconciliation
- Educate patients and families about treatment regimens, potential side effects, safety considerations, and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and unit policies; may be assigned to nursing assistant or safety sitter duties if RN coverage is not needed on the unit
- Active Hawaii RN license (unencumbered) required to apply
- BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient oncology RN experience, including inpatient chemotherapy administration
Current BLS (Health Care Provider) and chemotherapy certification required - Inpatient chemotherapy administration experience highly preferred; OCN, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS strongly desired
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with 12-hour rotating shifts and meet the guaranteed hours
