Position: Nurse Aide Earn & Learn Program

Earn & Learn to Become a Nurse Aide with Free Nurse Aide Training on Oahu!

The Position

We're looking for passionate Nurse Aides (NA) to help us with providing nursing care and services to residents, which include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

  • Ohana Nurse Aides orient residents to the unit and facility:
    Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, activity calendar, and lanai/common areas; informs of meal schedule and snack times.
  • Nurse Aides respond to resident calls, call bells/lights, and alarms immediately. Responds to family requests. Informs Charge Nurse when required.
Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment
  • Course schedule to commence November 30, 2026
    - December 07, 2026
  • Class schedule:
    Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30pm-8:30pm.
  • Duration: 8-week program with in-person instruction.
  • Location:

    Waipahu YMCA, Waipahu, Hawaii.
  • Course instruction provided by Academy for Healthcare Innovation
  • Work as a Care Assistant concurrently with Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Promotion to Nurse/CNA following program completion
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire.
  • Commit to one (1) year employment as a Full-time or Part-time Nurse Aide/Certified Nurse Aide.
