Primary Purpose
You will be responsible for keeping all irrigation systems running properly and in good working condition. Timers will be set for proper time and length of watering. All lawns and plant material must be kept green and healthy. The landscape must be free of weeds, pests, and rubbish. The equipment, tools, and vehicles must be cared for daily.

Purpose:
You will be responsible for keeping all irrigation systems running properly and in good working condition. Timers will be set for proper time and length of watering. All lawns and plant material must be kept green and healthy. The landscape must be free of weeds, pests, and rubbish. The equipment, tools, and vehicles must be cared for daily.
- Responsible for the care of existing irrigation system(s) on the job site(s)
- Responsible for checking the entire system, trouble shooting and repairing any broken or non-functioning systems and parts; this includes sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, controllers, etc.
- Responsible for making sure there is proper amount of watering and no overspray on sidewalks, walkways, property structures, etc.
- Responsible for inventory and set‑up of irrigation parts and supplies in the shop and sprinkler truck or cart.
- Assist maintenance and installation crew members with irrigation repairs or installs.
- Perform general maintenance duties.
- Perform shop duties.
- Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned.
- Assist customers with their various needs.
- Complete a service record for each job site and turn it in to the manager or the proper assigned person at the end of each workday.
- Report any concerns or work that needs to be followed up on.
- Handle various problems that may arise on the job site.
Work outdoors in all types of weather and many different types of conditions such as dusty, hot, rainy, muddy, level properties, and steep hillside properties. Frequent use of different varieties of fertilizers which will be applied to the lawn by hand or with special equipment. Use of herbicides and pesticides.
RequirementsYou MUST HAVE PRIOR IRRIGATION EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE!!!
Equipment UsedBlowers, trenchers, and various types of hand tools. You may also encounter: push mower, riding mower, large walk‑behind mower, weed‑wacker, edger, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, pole pruner, etc.
Work Hours6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, or as needed for Saturdays and emergencies or as scheduled.
Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands- Requires frequent lifting of at least 50 lbs.
- Requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
- Requires operating power equipment that is heavy and loud.
- Good communication skills; verbal and written.
Must know how to operate machinery, be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of operating equipment. Must have strong decision‑making and good supervisory skills.
This Role Requires That You Have a Current Hawaii Driver's License and a Clean Driving Record Summary- Training and ongoing support and mentorship.
