Nondestructive Test Inspector Supervisor

Duties

• You will ensure submarine safety (SUBSAFE) and Nuclear interface work is accomplished within stringent requirements.
• You will plan and coordinate nuclear and non-nuclear work assignments within the section on an immediate and long term basis in accordance with established schedule requirements.
• You will answer questions and assist subordinates in resolving any problems encountered.
• You will assure enforcement of fire, safety and good housekeeping regulations and that facilities, equipment, tools and materials are properly used, stored and maintained in order to support Inspection work.
• You will review technical work documents and nondestructive test Inspection procedures prior to final acceptance of product.
• You will provide decisions on priorities and scheduling details when not established or on any matters within own authority as requested by subordinates.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to work onboard ships.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 44 pounds in weight.
