Bishop & Company is seeking a Quality Improvement Assistant/Quality Management Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to the Quality Management Department for an insurance management company.
Position SummaryThis role assists with quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, policy and procedure management, audits, committee administration, reporting, and survey coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinate and support Quality Management Committee meetings, reporting, and documentation.
- Prepare meeting minutes, action items, reports, and committee materials.
- Assist with quality improvement projects, complaints tracking, and performance reporting.
- Maintain, review, update, and distribute policies, procedures, and related documents.
- Support satisfaction surveys, including preparation, data collection, reporting, and record retention.
- Assist with audits of training files, credentialing files, websites, and other quality-related materials.
- Support accreditation activities and compliance requirements.
- Perform data entry, maintain records, prepare communications, and assist with departmental projects.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Two years of administrative, business, healthcare, quality management, or compliance experience.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality improvement processes, or provider credentialing.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire opportunity
Location:
Honolulu, HI
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Fridays 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)
In-office Pay: $35,000 - $45,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
