Salary: $26.69/hour
Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
Temporary/Permanent: Temporary
Other Conditions: Limited to 89 days of employment. Appointment to begin approximately late August 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties will be Performing supervised technical laboratory work relating to experimental physics research, including fabrication, assembly, testing, and calibration of experimental apparatus; maintenance and repair of scientific equipment, maintenance of laboratory supplies and inventory.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 1 year of experience as a lead laboratory technician designing and fabricating instruments, troubleshooting programs, and analyzing datasets.
Desirable
Qualifications:
Experience scripting automated training/evaluation workflows with parallel multi-GPU on the Koa HPC; creating Bush scripts to standardize SLURM jobs ; developing systems involving YOLOv8 classification, generating large data sets using Roboflow, Python scripts, and SAM2
