HELE Customer Service Associate

Salary Range: $17.15 - $21.15 Hourly

Shift differential eligibility: $3.00

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system; comply with all cash handling procedures including other payment types for products sold
• Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender (e.g., coupons)
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise; assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits
• Adopt and participate in all safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job-related meetings/trainings as needed
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out; basic upkeep of equipment and report problems
• Be a positive team player; work cohesively with others and contribute to a positive work environment
• Perform duties with minimal supervision; may work flexible hours and attend job-related meetings as assigned

• Stand and/or walk for an entire shift
• Vision requirements for reading inventory levels and pump operations
• Ability to communicate information clearly
• Follow safety procedures and respond to safety alarms
• Frequent reaching, gripping, wrist movement, and dexterity for stocking, POS use, and cleaning
• Frequent squatting and kneeling for replenishment
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds; lift up to 20 pounds frequently; may lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials

Note:

There may be exposure to gas fumes and solvents, and occasional noise.

• To meet the basic qualifications, you will be at least 21 years of age or older and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred
• Perform basic math accurately
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written), including proficient telephone communication
• Ability to work varied shifts and arrive on time
• Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required
• Ability to perform essential duties in the described conditions
