Shift Differential Eligibility: $3.00

The Opportunity

HELE Customer Service Associate / Convenience Store Cashier. Hi! Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service, including assisting customers at the gas pump.
  • Accurately process all sales on the POS system, complying with cash handling procedures and other payment types.
  • Responsible for cash and other tender forms such as coupons and credit card transactions.
  • Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies.
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels and conduct shift audits.
  • Participate in all safety programs and attend mandatory job‑related meetings and trainings.
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, and for equipment upkeep.
  • Identify equipment problems and report them as needed.
  • Complete duties with minimal supervision; work flexible hours and attend meetings as assigned.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Follow safety procedures, e.g., responding to alarms, contacting 911.
  • Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movements, and finger dexterity required for restocking, packaging, operating POS, receiving payments, operating gas pumps, wiping pumps, maintaining store grounds, and housekeeping.
  • Frequent squatting and kneeling when replenishing items.
  • Push/pull with arms up to 20 pounds while using a hand‑truck.
  • Frequent lifting of 20 pounds or less from floor to waist, overhead, or a short distance.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials or signs.
Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age, legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.
  • Perform basic math accurately.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; proficient telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time.
  • Work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and work under described conditions.
