Position
Sales Clerk Leader - Uniforms – Salary: $21.21 per hour
DescriptionJoin our team as a Sales Clerk Leader serving the brave men and women of the military and their families. In this role, you lead a team to provide outstanding customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure a smooth shopping experience.
Duties- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection.
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist patrons in selecting goods.
- Oversee overall operations of the sales department, including ordering merchandise, pricing, and monitoring stock levels.
- Coordinate with store management on price changes, markdowns, promotional sets, and signage.
- Communicate with HQ staff to resolve special order requests and merchandise issues.
- Assist store management in training employees on cash register and front‑end duties and provide input on employee evaluations.
- Operate cash register, accept cash, checks, credit cards, issue change, prepare receipts, and reconcile register tapes with Daily Activity Report.
- Maintain cash overage and shortage records and ensure control and security of change fund, safe, and cash registers.
- Serve as key carrier in opening and closing the store.
- Lead and supervise other employees when management is absent.
- Follow all policies regarding loss prevention, being proactive about shrink and alert line.
- Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum:
- Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred:
- Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
- Previous retail supervisory experience performing the duties above.
- Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience as a USCG NAF sales clerk.

- Residency Requirements:
Non‑U.S. nationals must have resided within the United States or U.S. territories for at least three of the last five years. - Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer is required for payroll and travel.
