- Successfully identify, apprehend, and detain shoplifters by following company guidelines to reduce inventory shortage and controllable losses.
- Be familiar with state and local laws pertaining to shoplifting and retail crime.
- Participate in associate awareness efforts and generate leads for internal investigations.
- Partner with the LP Manager and US Corporate LP department as needed to manage and resolve any internal investigations.
- Ensure compliance and understanding of the shortage reduction strategies.
- Inspect compliance with company safety policies and procedures through store operations to maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and a safe work environment for employees.
- Strong ability to make confident and intelligent business decisions during stressful situations.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local law.
- Knowledgeable of surveillance equipment and installations.
- Ability to travel to stores within assigned area and maneuver through sales floors, stock rooms, and offices.
- Must be able to work for extended periods of standing or walking the sales floor as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a specialty retail store environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
