Position SummaryAssistant Store Manager responsible for leading a team to achieve sales and performance goals while maintaining a high‑standard shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities- Produce sales gains by providing customer service and maintaining store visual standards.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales metrics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisal of associate sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities.
- Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Dress Code Policy.
- Protect company assets, follow warehouse and inventory procedures, and manage store schedules for wage control.
- Open and close the store following operations procedures.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising store personnel.
- Encourage and enforce company policies, procedures, and guidelines for all employees.
- Perform audit and documentation duties per company policies and state/federal laws.
Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Assistant Store Managers P/T are also eligible for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with computer and related software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
