HELE Customer Service Associate / Convenience Store Cashier

Salary Range: $17.15 - $21.15 Hourly

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service, possibly assisting customers at the gas pump.
• Accurately ring up all sales on a POS system, complying with cash handling procedures and all payment types.
• Manage cash and other forms of tender, including coupons and credit card transactions.
• Adhere to company policies, store procedures, and all safety and environmental policies.
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and perform shift audits.
• Participate in all safety programs and trainings, and attend mandatory job‑related meetings.
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, including basic upkeep of equipment.
• Identify equipment problems and report as needed.
• Complete all duties with minimal supervision, and may be required to work flexible hours or attend additional meetings.

• Stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
• Use 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to view inventory, sales, and gas pumps.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Follow safety procedures, including responding to alarms and contacting 911 in emergencies.
• Frequently reach overhead, grip, use wrist movements, and packet items.
• Frequently squat and kneel when restocking or replenishing items.
• Push or pull with arms up to 20 pounds using a hand‑truck.
• Lift up to 20 pounds from the floor to waist level; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials or signs.

Must be 21 years of age or older and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.
• Perform basic math accurately.
• Communicate in English, orally and in writing, including proficient telephone skills.
• Work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
• Perform essential duties and work in the conditions described.
