Position: Courtesy Clerk - Casual (Lanai Service Station)
Location: East Honolulu

Job Description

Provides friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt sales service to all customers. Performs POS and gas pump opening and closing procedures in keeping with Company policies and procedures.

Compensation

$21.26/hour (non‑exempt). This is a Casual position.

Responsibilities Essential Duties
  • Greets all customers in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Provides customers with knowledgeable and enthusiastic product information sales service.
  • Answers telephone by prescribed standards.
  • Continually updates product knowledge so as to provide better service and increase sales.
  • Keeps abreast of in‑stock levels, by size and color if appropriate.
  • Performs daily cleaning and stocking of supplies in the cash register area.
  • May assist with replenishing all merchandise and supply levels in the store on a daily basis.
  • Handles cash, checks, debit/credit cards, and cash register(s) according to established procedures.
  • Assists with inventory of merchandise and supplies as requested.
  • Assists in “receiving” incoming merchandise.
  • Maintains unobtrusive vigilance against shoplifting.
  • Performs “opening” and “closing” of shop as outlined in departmental procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification/Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior retail sales and electronic cash register experience preferred.
  • Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with people.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
Required Work Cards/Certifications
  • Current Maui County Liquor License
  • Current TB Clearance
  • Availability/Work Schedule For Casual Employees
    • Expected to work at least 32 hours per month
    • Work Schedule will be based on operational needs
    Physical Requirements
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and hear.
    • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
    • Must be able to physically lift heavy materials/tools.
