Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Grade: NF02. Salary Code N/A. As a Supervisory Sales Associate you will be the face of the company, assisting customers and leading the team to build a positive and productive work environment. You will highlight the brand, products, and services while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing training to associates.

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Ask questions and listen to customers’ needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise; inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card.
• Provide premier customer service.
• Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships; take accountability for your own actions.

• Maintain store appearance.

• Cross‑sell products and understand the store layout.
• Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions based on individual needs.
• Upsell products.
• Learn product features, keep up with trends, and use company tools to provide knowledge/specs.
• Use a POS system to process cash, discounts, gift cards, credit and debit cards; count money and return accurate amounts to customers.
• Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.

• Perform all inventory processes and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed. Participate in periodic inventories.
• Responsible for security of cash, fixed assets and merchandise inventory.
• Provide direction on assignments including prioritizing projects/tasks and managing merchandise and inventory.

• Adhere to assigned work schedule; complete work assignments accurately and fully.

• Provide effective leadership, training, and motivation of associates; set a positive example.
• Coach and provide timely, professional feedback.
• Provide direction, work assignments, and training to sales associates.
• Give input to the Department Manager on associate performance.
• May open and close locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Moderate knowledge of products and merchandise.
• Provide training and documentation on product features.

• 1–2 years of retail or relevant experience required. 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Read, write and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Use telephone etiquette properly.

• Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Use calculator, calculate percentages and ratios, make change in U.S. currency.

• Multi‑task while attending to customers and meeting business needs; work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Defuse escalated exchanges and create win‑win situations.

This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. The work may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may lift at least 25 lbs. up to 50 lbs in some departments. The work is typically performed indoors, but may be assigned outdoors.

• 1 year responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store of any kind.

• 1 year progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing duties that constitute the principal work of the position.

• Study completed in a college, university or junior college above high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year for 6 months of experience. At any level specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience. Candidates must demonstrate the qualities of successful supervision.
