Position: Inbound Operations Team Leader (Overnight Logistics Supervisor)

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $27.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $42.50. Pay is based on several factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

All About General Merchandise

Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product merchandised and available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store and provides a fresh and food‑safe experience.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
  • Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align the team on the right behaviors and execution.
  • Understand sales goals and plans, and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Lead and share expertise in operations, freshness, accuracy and efficiency.
  • With guidance from the direct leader, establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to those expectations.
  • Utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload ensuring areas are guest ready at store open.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities.
  • Assess GM backroom and sales floor areas and review reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve any issues.
  • Enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is available for purchase.
  • Assist the direct leader in leading and following up on organizational and operational change.
  • Help build a team of GM Experts from initial selection through onboarding and learning, and develop team members through ongoing training and direction.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable.
  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, holding team accountable to safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting injuries.
  • Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance the in‑store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes where applicable.
  • Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities to enable the guest experience during assigned shifts.
