Position: Sales Clerk

Salary: $18.57/hour

Location: Honolulu, HI – Exchange

• Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection.
• React promptly to all customer concerns with a sense of importance.
• Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service, including demonstration and/or explanation of technical features.
• Take periodic stock counts and may participate in inventories.
• Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat and presentable condition.
• Advise supervisor or department head of customer requests.
• Receive cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and gift cards; give change accurately in the operation of the cash register.
• Maintain sales records, turn in end‑of‑shift balances, and account for all monies and items sold.
• Perform price changes, markdowns, and mark‑ups, and ensure promotions are properly displayed with signage and item labels.
• Follow all loss‑prevention policies and be proactive regarding shrink and the alert line.
• Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
• Work weekends as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Potential to stock merchandise, assist patrons, and operate a cash register demonstrated by the ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature; demonstrated math skills for stocking and inventory purposes as evidenced by high school coursework, GED, or high school diploma.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and to stand for long periods of time.

• Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
