We are hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our flagship Coco Nene location at International Market Place in the heart of Waikīkī — one of the busiest, highest‑energy stores in our company.
This is not typical retail
. Our team blends hospitality, product knowledge, and focused guest service in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
. As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll help lead a team that guides guests to meaningful, locally made products while representing Hawai‘i artists with warmth, professionalism, and pride.

Pay: $60k base salary + bonuses

- Lead by example on the sales floor, welcoming guests with warmth, aloha, and professionalism.
- Model authentic product storytelling and represent Hawai‘i‑made products and local artists with pride.
- Reinforce and coach authentic product knowledge (not scripted) across the team.
- Participate in management training meetings, monthly sales rallies, and required off‑site meetings.
- Support and coach the team in real time to deliver consistent, high‑quality guest experiences.
- Help guide guests through personalization and meaningful gift selection when needed.
- Maintain store readiness, visual standards, and an inviting environment throughout the day.
- Support daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, deposits, and task execution.
- Assist with inventory control by receiving deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining organized backstock.
- Support store goals by managing floor flow, coverage, and performance focus during shifts.
- Act as a communication and support bridge between the Store Manager and the team.
- Communicate with internal departments (such as production, inventory, visual, or leadership partners) to support store needs, resolve issues, and keep operations running smoothly.
- Uphold and reinforce a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Proactively take on responsibilities that support the team, the store, and the guest experience.
Must‑have:
- Ownership mindset with a proactive leadership style.
- Previous leadership or management experience required (keyholder, shift lead, supervisor, or similar).
- Previous experience in a high‑volume, hospitality‑driven, or guest‑facing environment required.
- Comfortable supporting store goals and driving performance improvement.
- Strong floor presence with the ability to lead by example.
- Reliable follow‑through with clear, respectful communication.
- Coaching mindset with a people‑first approach.
- Operational awareness, including inventory control and daily store operations.
- Technologically competent and comfortable working in digital systems, including POS, inventory management, email communication, and shared trackers or documents.
- Growth‑minded and motivated by continuous improvement and supporting store goals.
- Alignment with Coco Nene values and pride in representing Hawai‘i‑made products.
