Job Summary

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Creates exceptional value in customers’ lives by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
• Be proactive, exploring root causes of issues, forward thinking, ensuring customers are satisfied, expectations exceeded, and solutions driven.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, keeping store clean, attractive and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Be resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills – ability to use & carry an iPad or tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay Range: $23.97 - $37.39. In addition to base pay, you may be offered a competitive bonus and or commission plan. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
