Receiving Clerk
Verifies that the correct products are being received from vendors.
Greets customers within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
Receives products from vendors, checks all merchandise against the invoice, processes and approves invoices correctly, breaks down pallet deliveries and bales boxes.
Sorts and restacks pallets in the warehouse, oversees proper placement of merchandise, and keeps the warehouse clean and neat.
Monitors traffic of delivery trucks, controlling the flow of vendors through the back room.
Makes sure that credits are issued in a timely manner.
Makes sure safety forms are completed for all machinery on a daily basis.
Maintains awareness of security measures to avoid losses to the company.
Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager.
Stands for long periods, frequently walks back and forth in the grocery warehouse.
Carries up to 60 pounds, pushes and pulls up to 1000 pounds, performs frequent motions with arms/hands to stock items, bends to pick up and restack pallets.
Uses proper safety procedures.
Able to use forklift, electric and manual pallet jack, checks hydraulics, oil, water, propane for proper working order.
Able to use a DSD smart gun.
Able to multitask, listen to directions and follow through independently.
Able to deal with difficult vendors, and has good communication and observation skills.
Able to work independently.
Previous experience working with the public.
Knowledge of location of products and product familiarity.
Working knowledge of grocery vendors.
Basic mathematical knowledge and computer skills to fax and email.
Air-conditioned while in store, subject to outside conditions of heat, rain, and wind, chill temperatures when products need to be retrieved from chill and freezer.
Must be at least 18 years of age to operate machinery.
