Sales Clerk PT

Position Overview

Sales Clerk – Part‑time (20‑29 hours/week) – Honolulu, HI – $18.57/hour.

• Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns with a sense of importance.
• Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service, including demonstration and explanation of technical features.
• Process cash, checks, credit, debit, and gift card payments; give accurate change; maintain cash register records.
• Maintain sales records, end‑shift balances, and account for all monies and items sold.
• Assist in periodic stock counts and inventory.
• Replenish stock and keep merchandise neat and presentable.
• Set price changes, markdowns, and mandings; display promotions and update signage.
• Follow loss‑prevention policies, be aware of shrink and alert line.
• Adhere to safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
• Work weekends as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic arithmetic skills; ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature.
• Ability to lift frequently 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds; must stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
