Must be available to work any day of the week including weekends: 3pm to 10:30pm, or 12pm to 8pm, or 8am‑4pm.

Processes member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading and offering several types of membership products, scanning merchandise, and accepting various forms of payments. Provides excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner. Maintains the overall cleanliness of the front‑line department.

• Understand all BJ’s Membership options, renewals, upgrades, and BJ’s Perks programs.
• Offer appropriate membership products such as renewal, EASY renewal, My BJs Perks, and awards redemption.
• Provide a high level of customer service to members.
• Process member checkouts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Scan club merchandise to ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals.
• Assist with self‑checkout, fill shopping carts, and aid members at self‑checkout stations.
• Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge methods.
• Issue receipts or change to members.
• Stay up to date on product promotions, advertisements, and information.
• Apply coupons and redeem discounts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front‑line area.
• Assist in general club housekeeping when necessary.
• Return resaleable merchandise to the sales floor.
• Manage self‑checkout, scan, and pan lanes and assist members with technical difficulties.
• Meet cashier productivity expectations.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including work in other departments.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance as a core function.

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.

• Work involves moving frequently on hard surfaces, bending, pulling, reaching, stooping.
• May lift up to 30 pounds; occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
• Indoor environment with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

Starting at $15.50 per hour. Salary will vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
