Position SummaryLeasing Consultants create a positive and lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and residents by ensuring first impressions are strong. Responsibilities include managing leasing goals, handling client leads, scheduling tours, and encouraging applications. Essential Job Functions1. Customer Service (30%)
- Deliver unmatched service to prospects and residents to exceed expectations and nurture satisfaction.
- Guide prospects through the leasing experience to simplify renting.
- Act as liaison during application, leasing screening, and move‑in process, handling paperwork.
- Respond to calls, emails, chats, and texts, encouraging prospects to apply.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Communicate detailed information about communities and apartments to prospects.
- Generate interest by conducting informative, personalized tours that lead to new leases.
- Highlight community quality and lifestyle to drive sale.
- Develop deep knowledge of rental process and market, translating into successful sales interactions.
- Use effective selling techniques to close sales.
- Collaborate with onsite team to exceed occupancy goals.
- Maintain knowledge of apartments, amenities, local agencies and attractions.
- Stay updated on rental rates and promotions.
- Project a favorable image of the community at all times.
- Schedule tours and show apartments.
- Manage inbound leads, qualify prospects, lease apartments, and follow up after tours.
- Complete move‑in procedures per policies and procedures.
- Proactively manage leads and customer experience using CRM.
- Complete assigned CRM tasks on time.
- Handle leasing requests from existing residents (lease breaks, roommate additions, unit transfers).
- Run applications, communicate screening results, prepare and send leases, and collect required documentation.
- Inspect apartments pre‑move‑in, ensuring move‑in ready condition.
- Coordinate with maintenance for any outstanding items.
- Master the full leasing process from post‑tour follow‑up to CRM closure.
High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred.
Work Experience1–2 years of sales and customer service experience with sales goals in a fast‑paced environment (e.g., property management, hospitality, retail, or restaurant) required. 1–2 years of prior leasing experience in multifamily property management preferred.
Licenses & CertificationsValid driver’s license required depending on property.
Requirements- 1+ year of sales and customer service experience with sales goals in fast‑paced environments.
- Prior leasing experience in multifamily property management.
- Demonstrated success in goal setting/achievement and following a sales process.
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
- Adherence to Fair Housing laws and Brookfield leasing policies.
- High energy, sales and customer‑service driven.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and self‑managing.
- Ability to work well with diverse individuals.
- Customer‑focused mentality, professional appearance, and sales aptitude.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
- Fair housing laws, affordable housing programs, Microsoft Office, personal accountability, persuasiveness, and closing sales techniques.
- Proficiency with Yardi CRM (preferred).
