Base $65,000 to $80,000 + Bonus
Position Summary:
Responsible for building HCS's ancillary market position and achieving financial growth. Defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer and broker relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Works with HDS Sales, Marketing, Pricing & Underwriting, and other departments as needed to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximizing revenue for HCS;
identifies new business opportunities and expands on HCS's products. Prospects for potential new customers, presents to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future. Manages existing clients and ensures their retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales cycle of HCS's ancillary products to include, but not limited to the following:
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry associations, employer groups and brokers.
- Establish and maintain prospective/existing business relationships.
- Works with insurance partners in developing product design, pricing, and market strategy for growth and retention.
- Collaborates with the HCS President and the HDS Director of Sales in developing and implementing a strategic plan to analyze, identify and manage new opportunities for sales growth and/or to maximize revenue. Evaluates/monitors the Return On Investment (ROI).
- Collaborates with the HCS President and the HDS Director of Marketing in designing the marketing campaigns for the ancillary products.
- Implements employer group plan goals established by the HCS President and the HDS Director of Sales
- Works with various departments to ensure the ancillary products are modified as necessary to achieve targeted sales growth.
- Partners with internal departments on providing customer solutions.
- Services customers on a timely basis; via telephone, electronically or in person.
- Administrative responsibilities includes, but not limited to: documenting efforts in the Customer Retention Management (CRM) tool (i.e., Salesforce) and generating reports to evaluate performance results.
- Communicates and explains information to provide advice and recommendations to groups/broker for the management of their ancillary programs.
- Advise the HCS President and the HDS Director of Sales of external market changes.
- Conduct HCS employer group open enrollments and/or health fairs.
- Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and
Experience:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, physical demands, and/or required to perform the essential duties of this job.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing or related sales field, or an equivalent combination of education, training or working experience.
Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years related sales or marketing related work experience, preferably in the areas of servicing clients, client contracts and/or customer service.
Licenses/Certification:
Life and Health Producer Licenses (current or will obtain within the first three (3) months of employment).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to organize, analyze, problem-solve complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with on-going distractions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, customers, consultants/brokers and providers on sensitive matters.
- Ability to work in a team and individual environment.
- Proficient with PC-based software such as Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Valid Hawaii driver's license and personal transportation vehicle needed.
