Summary
You will serve as a Biologist for the Pacific Reefs National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Duties are primarily to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement the biological programs for a refuge/complex, or a limited segment of biological programs. Salary: $64,438 - $101,359. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 8.64 percent is authorized.
MajorDuties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
Professional knowledge of the theories, principles and concepts of chemistry, toxicology, hydrology, entomology, limnology, parasitology, and ecology. Skill utilizing field and laboratory techniques to collect and analyze samples and statistical procedures for the interpretation of study results. Ability to communicate in writing in order to prepare correspondence, scientific, and administrative reports, management plans, and similar documents. Ability to organize and track data records.
Ability to establish positive working relationships and exercise tact and diplomacy in coordinating activities with co-workers, and as needed, with representatives of other Federal agencies, state, tribal and local organizations, conservation organizations, and the general public. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
